Q: What is the difference between the Classic44, Clima63, Platinum and Ignis30 ranges?

Four ranges cover four different needs. Classic44 is our 44mm GRP composite — the most popular range, with the widest choice of styles, strong security and good thermal performance. Clima63 is a thicker 63mm GRP slab built for thermal performance, achieving U-values below 1.0W/m²K. Platinum is a steel composite available in both 44mm and 63mm. Ignis30 is our certified 30-minute fire range for internal and external openings.

Ordered simply through our online portal, it’s a partnership built on reliability, consistency and doors that fit seamlessly into the way you already work.

Do your doorsets meet the Future Homes Standard?

Yes. The Clima63 range already meets all future home standards: every doorset achieves a low overall U-value designed to meet the ~1.0W/m²K benchmark, alongside A-rated energy performance. Its thermally broken frame and reinforced foam core work together with the 63mm slab to deliver that figure across the whole doorset, not just the door leaf.

How are your fire doorsets tested and certified?

Ignis30 doorsets are independently tested within UKAS-accredited fire laboratories and deliver over 30 minutes of fire integrity resistance. They are Q-Mark certified under the Fire Door Certification Scheme, and every doorset carries a label recording its fire resistance period and specification so it can be verified on site.

What is the Prepped Door Service?

Our Prepped Door Service supplies Classic44 slabs prepared to your specification and ready to hang, in both glazed and unglazed options. Slabs are produced in our UK facilities under the same quality control as our complete doorsets, so you get consistent standards and reliable lead times without taking on the prep work yourself.

Where are IG Doors products manufactured?

All of our door slabs are manufactured on site in the heart of South Wales. Keeping the complete operation in the UK — rather than shipping from Asia — substantially reduces the environmental impact of every doorset, and means research, testing and production sit under one roof with full control over quality and output.

How do you support the Golden Thread on a project?

The Ignis30 range is robustly tested and controlled throughout manufacture, with traceability maintained from slab production through to the finished doorset. That record — specification, certification and manufacturing data — is what you need to evidence the Golden Thread on a residential project.
